I can’t even use IE 10 to connect to Azure from my 2012 Servers any longer!

Internet Explorer 11 isn’t supported on Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.

As I known, Internet Explorer 11 is preinstalled with Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2. No additional action is required.

If you plan to run IE 11 on Windows server 2012, it won’t be supported. Internet Explorer 11 is not available for download for on Windows Server 2012.

We need IE 11 for Windows Server 2012 (non-R2).

This is a little confusing, but it seems that the statement is not actually that only Internet Explorer 11 will receive updates, rather it is the latest version available for that operating system. For the most commonly used versions of Windows (7, 8.1, 10, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2) that is IE 11. This is the language used in the link you provided and is reflected here:

So, for Server 2012 (non-R2), Internet Explorer 10 should still receive updates (according to these pages) as long is it is a supported Operating System. This is the same for other supported versions of Windows that are not able to go to IE 11.

I tried to call Microsoft today to get an answer on this and got passed around several times and then told I would have to open a ticket with a support engineer and possibly have to pay for that ticket (up to the engineer’s discretion). This seemed really ridiculous to me as I simply wanted the information about an operating system we already pay for and I did not have a technical issue.
