I have the same problem, I like this game so much and know it never works.
I hope that Microsoft will fix the problem, it´s so bad that i I can never play this game again.

Hi, I did this and now don’t get this error anymore.
But when I press play it just closes the game.

Stronghold Crusader HD (Стронгхолд Крусадер) – игра в жанре стратегии, где все действия будут происходить в режиме реального времени. Здесь тебе предстоит отправится в пустыни средневековья, а именно в Восточные страны, где в твои обязанности будет входить постройка несокрушимой крепости, которую не сможет одолеть даже самый могущественный представитель злых сил. Здесь присутствует система разрушения замков, что сделает твое прохождение максимально реалистичным. Ты должен свергнуть соперника, применив способ атаки на его крепость. Здесь ты попадаешь в мир, который иначе можно назвать симулятор замков, где имеется колоссальное количество возможностей для строительства и разрушения. Ты должен собрать могущественную армию, чтобы отправится на сопротивления, а затем захватить замок врага, либо разрушить, не оставив и кирпичика. Физика действий максимально продумана, поэтому ты сможешь почувствовать себя в реальном мире. На выбор тебе сразу даётся две кампании, каждая из которых подготовила массу интересных испытаний и увлекательных миссий.

Обновление позволяет сменить разрешение экрана вплоть до 2560×1600. Так же исправляет некоторые косяки игры.
Не совместим со Steam версией игры!
Очень нужный патч, с ним стало гораздо удобней играть в SC на 1600×900. +++ Кстати, а есть какой-нить мод или патч для для SC, который бы добавлял в игру целителя, лечащего войска(а не только население), или самовостанавливающееся здоровье для тех же войск?
Valya2013 Что за бред? Какой распакована? По оканчании установки он может предложить вам играть в стронгхолд кингдомс, но тут достаточно нажать SKIP и потом далее. К сожелению, эту функцию нельзя отключить так как патч официальный.

Жалко, что «вплоть до 2560×1600»: у меня 3840×2160. Ну хотя бы не 1920×1080
Титан_1 На таком разрешении в этой игре всё будет крошечным, это не очень удобно. Только если у вас экран не 65 дюймов)) На 2560×1600 уже всё мелко и неудобно на 27 дюймах

Макс Пашинский Я то понимаю, а вот что тебе непонятного в моих словах? Объясню ещё разок простыми словами: При большом РАЗРЕШЕНИИ экрана , но маленьком по размерам (тут я имею в виду габариты), всё, что происходит на экране, будет маленького размера. Такого маленького, что придётся сидеть с лупой, разглядывая происходящее. Привожу пример игры в разрешении 2560×1600 и в 1920×1080 (см. скрины). Теперь понятно, я надеюсь?)
