Circle is an icon theme for Linux from the Numix project. This readme provides information on installation, icon requests and hardcoded icons. Licensed under the GPL-3.0+
If using this with our base icon theme make sure you install both parts using the same method. This makes sure that the panel icons keep working as intended.
If you use Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo or any of their derivatives then you’re sorted! Numix Circle is available from the official repositories.

If you use Ubuntu or any of its derivatives (including Mint and elementary OS) you can use our Numix PPA to get the very latest version of the theme. Fire up a Terminal and run the following:
For Arch users there’s a community maintained package in the AUR which builds from this GitHub.
For Gentoo users there’s a community maintained ebuild in the edgets overlay which builds icons directly from numix-core repository, so you recive latest commits.
The tracker for this repo is only for issues relating to the Linux packaging. Please report icon requests in this repo which handles the icons themselves. For normal applications follow this video tutorial, for Steam games follow this one and for Chrome apps just post a link to the webstore page. When filing your request please be respectful, patient, and remember that Circle development is done solely on the back of donations.
To deal with hardcoded application icons Numix uses the hardcode-fixer script. A list of the applications supported by the script can be found here.
Runtime Steam Icons
To fix icons of running Steam games, you can use Steam Icons Fixer script which will connect all icons available from our icon theme with your installed games.

Есть такой проект Numix, миссия которого — сделать Linux-десктоп п… нет, не таким, как подумали испорченные мальчики и девочки, и даже не прекрасным, а просто красивым. В скобках заметим, что таковы же их намерения и относительно Android’а:

Однако последний не входит в сферу наших с котом Мануалом интересов, и потому далее про это изделие говориться не будет. А что касается Linux’ов — в рамках проекта развиваются темы пиктограмм и рабочих столов, основанных на библиотеках Gtk. Каковые мы впервые увидели во время первого знакомства с Antergos. А уж при возвращении этому дистрибутивумы с Мануалом окончательно прониклись прелестями Numix’овых тем и иконок. Благо, в Cinnamon-редакции его они используются по умолчанию и находятся в официальном его репозитории:
Так что никаких усилий для получения numix-тем в Antargos’е прикладывать не нужно — достаточно применить их так, чтобы глазу было приятно:
Разумеется, у нас с Манулом появилось желание обрести такие же красивости и в другой нашей рабочей системе — Cintu. Что оказалось тоже не особо сложной задачей, поскольку участники проекта Numix поддерживают собственный PPA-репозиторий, подключаемый своеобычным образом:
После чего следует обновить локальный кеш:
Установить вожделенные пакеты:
И задействовать темы рабочего стола и пиктограмм через модуль Темы Параметров системы:
Разумеется, выбрав подходящий вариант среди набора пиктограмм, входящих в пакеты numix-icon-theme* :
После чего остаётся только порадоваться результату:
Правда, радикально жёлтый цвет пиктограмм для каталогов в Nemo несколько портил впечатление. Однако это оказалось олне поправимым, о чём будет сказано в следующей заметке.
Post Scriptum. В качестве «нескучных обоев» в Antergos’е использованы фото пика Айдарбек (Алайский хребет, Киргизия) и озера Ажабачьего (Восточная Камчатка).

Алексей, вдохновили Вы меня Вашим очерком. Спасибо! В развитие темы из этого же репозитория установила пакет numix-folders — 1.1.1+201704051616
ubuntu17.04.1 и перекрасила папки в цвет установленной темы.
О! Спасибо за идею — терпеть не могу жёлтый цвет.
Но и выпирающие пиктограммки — тоже 🙂
Numix — это, пожалуй, одна из лучших тем оформления, что было придумано человечеством. Уже год как «покрасил» своё мате-окружение в нумикс и ничего другого больше не приемлю. Как говорится, любов с первого взгляду 🙂
