In the Live window the JmRemote app provides all the interactions otherwise provided by PC screen and keyboard. Instead of first looking at the screen to find a function and then looking at the keyboard to find the corresponding key, you now look at the tablet to find the function and just touch it directly. If a menu is chosen that changes the functions of all buttons, then the new functions will be displayed in the buttonlabels of the Android app as well as on the PC screen.

One Man Band is a combination of a virtual music-keyboard with automatic-accompaniment, a sequencer that utilises styles and a style editor. It utilises standard style files that are compatible with the styles that are used in Yamaha PSR, DGX and Tyros arranger keyboards. It is able to play the thousands of Yamaha styles that are available on internet and it can create styles that can be played on a Yamaha keyboard. The sound quality produced with One Man Band depends largely on the quality of the synthesizers that are used. Make a quick start and try it out!
Professional live musicians use OMB to build a high quality arranger setup with features that are not available in the best arranger keyboards. Connect a master keyboard with 88 keys. Plug-in DXi and VSTi softsynths with incredible real sounding instruments. You will have the presets of up to 3600 songs at your fingertips including text with chords and lyrics or even a scrolling display of the score. When a new style is being loaded the current style will continue playing until the loading is complete and then plays the new style without an interruption. The presets may include a wave/mp3 intro or play a multimedia file as accompaniment instead of a style. Karaoke files will be displayed with text in large font. An editor to create Karaoke files is included. A large number of chord recognition methods is available, also for MIDI guitars, MIDI accordions and MIDI Pedals . In full keyboard mode you can play on the entire keyboard and use a footswitch for chordfixation to indicate when chords should be recognised from the keyboard for the automatic-accompaniment and when not.

Warning: in the current version of iOS13/iPadOS13 it is not possible to copy files with styles and soundfonts to One Man Band. As a workaround you can copy styles and soundfonts from your PC or Mac computer.
One Man Band Live for iOS Change your digital piano or synthesizer into an arranger keyboard with realtime auto-accompaniment.
Connect your iPad, iPhone or iPod to your keyboard instrument with the camera connection kit and an USB AB cable or a MIDI interface cable (depending on what your keyboard uses for MIDI). Then start One Man Band and select the Settings button. Choose the MIDI In and MIDI Out port to your keyboard and press Done. Now select the red Presets button and choose one of the style/voice combinations.
When you play a chord on the leftside of your keyboard instrument, the accompaniment will start to play. You can play the melody on the right side of the keyboard, it will have harmonies and instrument layers depending on the chosen voice. Select different style variations (Main, Fill, Intro, Ending) while you play. Switch to different accompaniment styles and melody voices with the buttons on top. Press Record and set the switch on to record MIDI files.
One Man Band utilises standard style files compatible with the styles used in Yamaha PSR, DGX and Tyros arranger keyboards. There are thousands of these styles available on the internet. When you copy a zip-file with styles to OMB (download, email, icloud), the styles will be placed in a new style folder with the same name as the zip-file.
The panel with 56 buttons is customisable. You can assign a function, voice, preset, chord or note to each of the buttons (except for the button top left) and create submenus with again 56 buttons each. Create your own voices with harmonies and instrument layering.
There is also a free version available One Man Band Lite . It comes with 10 styles that you can use without restrictions. Other styles will pause for 15 seconds after 60 seconds of playing. You need the full versions to play all styles.

How to install One Man Band
Windows demo:
Go to www.1manband.nl/omb and click on «Download Demo: Windows».
If you are in Windows 7, then read this .
The installation file will start to download. Wait until it is finished, then run it.
Ignore the message that it is unlicenced and if you don’t see a button to continue then click on «more info», the «install anyway» button will then appear.
Click on OK on all the next messages. The One Man Band v12.1 icon is now on your desktop.
Double click on it to start it.
Mac OS demo:
Go to www.1manband.nl/omb and click on «Download Demo: Mac OS».
The installation file will start to download, when it is finished double click on it.
The dmg package file will open.
Drag the folder «One Man Band v12.1» to your applications folder.
In Mac OS 10.12 Sierra and higher read this .
Find the file omb.exe in the folder «One Man Band v12.1» in the apllications folder and double click on it to start it.
Full versions:
Go to www.1manband.nl/omb and click on «Buy Now: Windows / Mac OS» (choose one).
In the new window read the payment options (mostly PayPal or Credit Card) and click on «Buy now at BMT Micro».
Fill in the purchase form and press «Place secure order».
After this you will receive an email with download instructions and also a registration key that you need when you run OMB for the first time.
After this the procedure is the same as for the demo versions.

Run for the first time:
If you intend to use an exteral MIDI device with OMB (keyboard, piano, synthesizer) then connect the MIDI cable to the computer before you start OMB.
At the first time the full version will display a window where you must enter your name and the registration key (that was in the email with the download instructions).
Only the registration key is checked.
After that the Live window will appear.
Go to the Preferences window, in Windows it is in the Files menu, on the Mac you know where it is.
Check that the correct MIDI input is selected (if you have a MIDI keyboard controller connected to your PC).
The default MIDI Out device is JmSynth but if you have a better synth available then select it.
Set «local off» in the settings of your keyboard, piano or synthesizer, look in the manual of your instrument how to accomplish that.
The keys that you play should not produce any sound, they should just send MIDI messages to the computer.
If you are using an arranger keyboard then switch it «to be used with a computer», again the manual of your instrument may be needed.
Now it is time to play, try all the options you are interested in and look in the help menu to find answers to questions that arise.
