Поддержка Microsoft Office в macOS 10.13 High Sierra

25 сентября 2017 г. операционная система macOS 10.13 High Sierra стала доступна для установки всем пользователям компьютеров Mac. Она полностью поддерживает Office 2016 для Mac. Для оптимальной работы набор Office рекомендуется обновить до версии 15.38 или более поздней.

Office 2016 для Mac

Операционная система macOS 10.13 High Sierra полностью поддерживает Office 2016 для Mac.

Если вы обнаружите проблемы в работе Office 2016 для Mac, сообщите нам, чтобы мы могли их устранить. В Word, Excel, PowerPoint и OneNote щелкните значок Отправить смайлик в правом верхнем углу приложения. В Outlook в меню Справка выберите пункт Обращение в службу поддержки.

Office для Mac 2011

С 10 октября 2017 г. Office для Mac 2011* больше не поддерживается. Это означает, что прекращены выпуск обновлений для системы безопасности и прочих обновлений, платная и бесплатная техническая поддержка, а также обновление справочных материалов. Outlook 2016 for OS 10.13 High Sierra

I am using MS Office 2016, today updated the OS 10.13 High Sierra but then the Outlook doesn’t work.

I check out the solution and install the Office 2016 for Mac Suite Installer .

After installed the package the Outlook down back to 2011 and doesn’t work at all now.

Could anyone please help to give me some advices.

Minimum Outlook version need is 15.39 on High Sierra. Outlook 2011 won’t work.

You need to update Outlook to latest.version. Use below link to below —

I did check your article before but it doesn’t work.

My MS Office was 2016, included Outlook.

After install the package Office 2016 for Mac Suite Installer ( https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Microsoft-Office-support-for-macOS-10-13-High-Sierra-80bbd3cc-2412-4593-988a-1c5607b26b28 ), the Outlook version is now become 14.7.7

But then the email in Outlook now keep comes out a lot of error (e.g. password is wrong / cannot connect server . )

I am sure all those information for the errors are correct (i.e. password / internet connection . )

Could anyone help, please please!!

Your Office version should be 15.40 and minimum version needed for Outlook to function is 15.39.

14.7.7 is latest version for Office 2011 (given in above link).

If you have previous version of Office on your Mac, you will need to uninstall that and install the new version again.

All should be well after this.

Yes, my Office is version 15.4, but the Outlook is become 14.7.7 after I install the package from https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Microsoft-Office-support-for-macOS-10-13-High-Sierra-80bbd3cc-2412-4593-988a-1c5607b26b28

Then Outlook doesn’t work!!

I have down loaded and installed the file Microsoft_Outlook_2016_15.40.17110800_Installer ,

But my Outlook still at version 14.7.7

Could anyone please help.

Outlook 14.7.7 is the Office 2011 version of Outlook.

Outlook 15.40 is the Office 2016 version of Outlook.

It sounds like you have both versions on your Mac, and you keep opening Outlook 2011 instead of Outlook 2016.

I think you are right, I saw a folder «Microsoft Office 2011» and some MS Office icons in Applications

Can I remove the Microsoft Office 2011, will it affect the Outlook 20016?

If not, do I just delete the the Microsoft Office 2011 folder (there are so many other things inside) or just delete those MS 2011 icons?

If you want to remove Office 2011, please follow the steps:

  1. Open Finder >Applications
  2. Find and then drag the Microsoft Office 2011 folder to Trash.
  3. Restart your computer.

If you are positive that your Outlook 2016 has all your email, contacts, tasks, etc, then you can safely remove Office 2011. The two applications do not have files in common.

Your 2011 user data is the folder Microsoft User Data in the Documents folder. That is likely to be large. Deleting it will completely remove all Outlook 2011 data including email, contacts, etc from 2011, but it won’t affect 2016.

If you followed prompts when installing Office 2016, all that stuff was imported from 2011 into 2016. If you need to manually bring it forward before deleting use File > Import in 2016. If you already did the import, if you do it again you will get double of everything and have a big mess to clean up, so don’t re-import if you don’t have to.

Microsoft Office support for macOS 10.13 High Sierra

As of September 25, 2017, macOS 10.13 High Sierra is publicly available for all Mac users to install. Office 2016 for Mac is fully supported on High Sierra. For the best experience, we recommend you update Office to version 15.38 or later.

Office 2016 for Mac is fully supported on macOS 10.13 High Sierra.

If you encounter issues using Office 2016 for Mac, please send us feedback so we can address them. In Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, you can click on the Send a Smile icon in the top-right of the app. For Outlook, choose Contact Support from the Help menu.

These versions are not supported on 10.13. In some cases, you may not be able to launch the Office apps. For example, users will see the following error message when attempting to launch Outlook 2016 ver. 15.34:

If you installed Outlook 2016 ver. 15.34 or earlier, and are not being offered an update to 15.35 or later, download the latest Office 2016 for Mac Suite Installer here.

Office for Mac 2011

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Lync have not been tested on macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and no formal support for this configuration will be provided.

Since October 10, 2017, Office for Mac 2011* is no longer supported. This means there will be no new security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support options, or technical content updates. Refer to the Microsoft Support Lifecycle for more information.

* Lync for Mac 2011 has a limited time of Extended Support for security fixes.
