1. Монтируем образ диска «Manhunt 2.mds» в виртуальное устройство (Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% и др.).
2. Устанавливаем игру.

1. Запускаем патч и устанавливаем указываем папку с установленной игрой (пример: C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Manhunt)
2. Нажимаем кнопку «Пуск-Все программы-Стандартные» правой кнопкой мыши по «Командная строка» выбираем «Запуск от имени администратора».
3. Вводим в коман. строку код: cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Manhunt (путь к игре указываем свой).

Once the «link.exe, Manhunt Fix.bat, mspdb80.dll, patchrun.bat» files are in the Manhunt folder, run Manhunt Fix.bat and another command prompt will show up, press enter.
Credit for the original patch goes out to AJ Collins, the original patch creator.
First, to get Manhunt to launch without a DirectX 8.1 error, you need to go to Windows search and search «Turn Windows features on or off» and scroll down to Legacy Components and click the plus next to it. Then, go ahead and check DirectPlay and click okay. This will install it and let the game work.
The game is supposed to use v-sync to cap the framerate to prevent the AI from having issues, but due to the game being DirectX 8, this is broken on anything higher than Windows 7. So, we need to get a wrapper to wrap the calls of the game from DX8 to DX9.
I have opted to include a link to a widescreen fix made by the excellent ThirteenAG [github.com] to serve this purpose. Simply download Manhunt.WidescreenFix.zip and Manhunt.WidescreenFrontend.zip and drag both files into your game’s main directory.
The looping fix mentioned in this paragraph is in beta. Another issue with recent operating systems is certain sounds (such as the crapper one) looping over and over again, «Manhunt.PluginMH» by ermaccer fixes this issue. First, go here [github.com] and download the latest release. If you already have the widescreen fix above installed, simply drag in the data and scripts folders. If you don’t, drag in dinput8.dll along with the data and scripts folders. Once this is done, this should fix all of the aforementioned sound looping issues.

I used to be able to play until the infamous first gate without patches but after using Fixer my game freezes at the very first loading screen when you hit play. The one with the credits and logo and I need to restart my computer.
Any Advice? Im playing on a windows 10 partition on a macbook pro

0.Идём в Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features>Turn Windows Features on or off>Legacy Components>Enable Direct Play и .NET Framework 3.5
1.Устанавливаем через Steam
2.Починка бага с воротами и прочих багов:
Загружаем и распаковываем/копируем все файлы c этой ссылки :

3.Запускаем файл Manhunt Fix.bat
4. Удаление аудио из заскриптованных сцен:
Ручной:
- -Вручную меняем в C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Manhunt\audio\PC\SCRIPTED\PORN файл PORN.RIB и прочие на что p0rn.RIB
- — C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Manhunt\audio\PC\SCRIPTED\CRAPPER ищем файл CRAPPER.RIB и меняем на что то вроде cr@pper.RIB
- — C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Manhunt\audio\PC\SCRIPTED\GASPOUR ищем файл GASPOUR.RIB и меняем на что то вроде g@spour.RIB
- 0.Копируем сэйвы куда нибудь из папки User\Documents\Manhunt User Files\SaveGames\ стираем папку \Manhunt User Files\SaveGames\
- 1. Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features>Turn Windows Features on or off>Legacy Components>Enable Direct Play и .NET Framework 3.5
- 2.Удаляем Manhunt через Steam и стираем основную папку Manhunt,находится здесь C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Manhunt
- 3. Устанавливаем игру опять,загружаем и копипастим cоответствующий вашей версии Windows 10 фикс опять в папку C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Manhunt.
- 4.Запускаем файл Manhunt Fix.bat file
- 5. Запускаем игру меняем настройки выходим
- 6.Выходим из игры
- 7.Находим эту папку User\Documents\Manhunt User Files\SaveGames\ и кидаем сюда сэйвы из предыдущей инсталляции.
Добавлено русское видео.
Наслаждаемся игрой.

Переписал конфиг файл для основной версии чтобы она видела новый опенсорсный wrapper, протестировал,надеюсь что это будет работать и у вас и поможет вам избежать танцев с бубном.Добавил опенсорсный wine-based Vulkan-API wrapper для работы под Windows 10 2004 и ниже.
