Payday 2 mac os
I use both Windows(7/8/8.1) and OSX(Snow Leopard-Yosemite) on a daily base, I haven’t really used OSX for gaming, serious gaming that is and don’t plan to because of a luxury problem, but I do use a lot of programs and I find myself in a similar situations a lot of the time.
From my experience, Crossover is the best(and only) option you have to simulate a Windows environment without owning a copy of WIndows.
But I prefer to use Parallels or Bootcamp because they both have their major advantages over Crossover, which come at a price.
I like to use Parallels when I need to run a bunch of OSX-only apps and just 1 or 2 Windows programs and use Bootcamp when I need to -or can- go full Windows on my Mac.
Parallels for convenience and Bootcamp for performance, is the general rule of thumb around my colleagues.
But it really depends on the software you need to run and all you can do is test as many options as possible, most require you to have a copy of Windows. So, if you can, get a student/scholar copy of Windows 7 for a few bucks to try it out. *hint hint*
Because like with «normal» pcs, it also depends on your hardware, not just your OS or Apps.
Not much advice for you here as far as field-testing goes, but maybe it helps you to narrow down your options. If you use a lot of software you really need to get yourself a copy of Windows.
Overkill is also (still) working on a Linux/OSX version of the game if I am not mistaken. It would be really great if they could shine some light on this. Are you going Linux/Windows only? So many .
How about it Almir? Some love for us PC-gamer minorities? ;)™
tl;dr: get a copy of Windows and try for yourself, because like with PCs is general, it also depends on your hardware.
(A bit drunk because of KingsDay, sorry about that)
