Windows 10 Samsung Elan driver issue?
Upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday on my Samsung Series 9 laptop and there appears to be an issue with the Elan touchpad. The touchpad works except for multi finger gestures, I’m unable to scroll, swipe etc. I attempted to install the Win 7 drivers from the Samsung site but it did not work. When looking at the Mouse Properties no touchpad device is listed. Any help you can provide would be great!

I just encountered the same problem on my Samsung series 3 laptop. I opened the Device Manager and found the Samsung Touchpad Input Device and used the Update Driver Software option from the properties(right-click) menu. It did some download and after a restart I could access the multitouch options in the mouse properties.

I also upgraded Series 9 and after reading this post finally have the touchpad working . Thanks.
Have you had any issues with the backlit keyboard, I dont seem to be able to get it working?

Try to download Samsung update, it´s a helpful tool and it brings the latest software from samsung

For QX410 laptop users. Others should go to samsung website, find their specific computer and download most up to date driver. For me it was a windows 7 driver that finally fixed the issue after trying to uninstall, re-install drivers from microsoft, troubleshooting window, etc.

The windows 10 driver that is installed by default causes the pointer to jump to different points of the screen depending on where the pad is touched making the touchpad unusable! So after 4 and a half hours of trying various fixes from the web i have given up! After a year as a developer preview and almost a year as an official release why in the **** do i have to beat my head against a wall to fix this! Two years in how are the touchpad drivers still so broken? Dell multi touch trackpad drivers are broken synaptec drivers are broken elantec drivers are broken, and these all worked fine in windows 7 and 8 its been 2 years people! If microsoft wants us all on windows 10 they need to get their **** together and fix these issues! Untill then i will stay with windows 7!!
