UPDATE 2017: New version of this skin, created by eduardo989 is available here: eduardo989.deviantart.com/art/…
Owing to popular demand comes this long overdue re-edit of my IronMan-Jarvis Theme Desktop. Features:
-fully customizable decks for apps, folders and weblinks -available in 4 colours- blue, red, yellow, green -options for both winamp and itunes -config tool to facilitate all customizations
I think that covers what people wanted out of the previous version of this customization.
Theme available in other colours on demand. Drop a comment below with the desire hex code.
Hi all. I continue to be surprised, humbled and overwhelmed by the popularity I am receiving for this theme. I need to apologise on one count at least- I stopped support on this theme long ago (including the on demand colours, it got too much after a while!) and have not revisited Rainmeter designing for a long time. I probably should have uploaded an edit to coincide with Iron Man 3 but I’ve got other projects to handle. Anyway:
1) I’m not supporting this theme anymore, for now. To download, please use the link at the right. I don’t know why people keep asking where to download from.
2) If you’re new to Rainmeter and desktop customization, I’m sorry- the theme is not intended as a tutorial and I cannot provide that level of support. But trust me, I learnt how to use, code, and design for Rainmeter amazingly easy. I have no coding background, minimal Photoshop knowledge and yet you are here trying to use my theme. So Rainmeter is going to be very easy to pick up if you get involved- just put in a little effort.
3) I realise from the comments that the current version of the theme probably still has a few bugs to iron out. I promise a fully working, completely customizable theme on the 1st of July, or before.
4) If you do have a request, comment or question to place- in English please? I do not understand any other language (except Hindi, if you’re up for that)
As you can see from the screenshot below, this theme is based on the SHIELD operating system that ‘s seen i n the Avengers movie. It’s also designed to give it the J.A.R.V.I.S hud feel making it a personalized design for all Iron Man/Tony Stark fans .
This theme will change the way your desktop and shortcuts function. It’ll make everything running applications and multi-tasking more efficient. Of course, all this as a bonus to a slick look. This method is fairly simple, takes about 5 – 15 minutes to set up and can be considered mid-level desktop customization.
Things to Download
How to Set it Up
1. Let’s start by putting up the great wallpaper put together by edreyes that you downloaded above. Just save the image and set is as your background. You can disable all desktopicons by right clicking on the desktop and selecting and View -> Show Desktop Icons.
2. Next thing you need to do is get Rainmeter, the perfect customization tool. Download it and install it. Make sure you choose the ‘run on startup’ option during installation.
Once you’ve installed it and have it running you should have several default illustro skins showing up on your desktop.
Rainmeter has many such skins and we are going to download and install one particular SHIELD skin to bring together that Iron Man look. You can move any Rainmeter skin around by simply clicking and draggin. Right clicking a skin gives you several options. But more on that later. For now, let’s move on to getting our SHIELD skin.
S.H.I.E.L.D OS
This will be the base skin around which we’ll build our theme. Download the skin and you’ll have a .rmskin file. Run it and hit install. After installation, go to your desktop and right click on any of the skins and do the following on the menu that pops up.
Rainmeter -> Themes -> S.H.I.E.L.D. OS
Right click -> Rainmeter -> Themes -> Shield OS
Once you select S.H.I.E.L.D OS, you’ll have something like this.
The default layout for the SHIELD skin.
The easy part is over. Now it’s only a matter of editing things to your preference. For starters, if you right click on any skin, you’ll have an option called Avengers in the menu. The sub-options in this menu, control toggling on and off of all the skins.
You can change the color (orange, red and blue) of the each skin by middle-clicking a skin.
There are 5 main editable parts to this skin.
Large Launchers.
Small Launchers.
Folder Launchers.
Webpage Launchers.
Music Player.
You can use the Options panel to set all the application, name and icons for your Launchers as well as set your Media Player settings.
To edit the music player, go to the bottom of the notepad to find an option for player. Change it to itunes for itunes, wmpfor Windows Media Player and winampfor Winamp.
Once you’re done with the settings, you can close the Options panel by simply right clicking and choosing Unload Skin as shown below.
Once you’ve changed all paths and applications as you need, you can move around the skins as you like.
All set and ready to launch. (Click to enlarge)
And that’s it! A custom Iron Man theme made by yourself! Give yourself a little pat on the back. If you are already familiar with rainmeter, you can add more skins to the theme to spice it up. If you are new to rainmeter, you can play around with this skin and learn.

Thank you for trying the custom Iron Man theme for Windows 10 | 8 | 7.
Iron Man have been one of our favorite superheros from Iron Man trilogy movie series and Avengers from marvel. More or less, the distinct character and nature of Iron Man(Tony Stark) makes him so special among other super hero’s. His latest movie, Iron Man 3 is one of the best in the series.
In fiction Tony Stark is an genius – billionar – playboy. Through his corporation ― Stark Industries ― Tony has created military weapons for US and its allies. But soon he discovers his own weapons used by extremist Tony Stark suffers a severe chest injury during a kidnapping in which his captors attempt to force him to build a weapon of mass destruction. He instead creates a powered suit of armor to save his life and escape captivity. He later kick-starts a new project to design powerful suit named Iron Man to protect the world.
The Iron Man Series have done with three titles where Tony Stark not only learns how his own made weapons to create peace is used by evil forces to spread terror. He shuts down his weapon division and denies to sale of the suit. The only exception being his friend whom he intentionally gives access to his suit. Taking things in avengers he joins the group of other superheros named Avengers to save the earth from Alien invasion. In Iron Man 3, shortly after Avengers, new enemy strikes and the Iron Man is again challenged this time more powerful than expected. In last battle he summons last of suit controlled by his AI Jarvis. He wins the battle and decides to mark and end to Iron Man journey. Jarvis self-destructs the suits remotely. The story doesn’t end here. Sequel is expected to come since Marvel has left teaser at the end of the movie. Go back if you happen to miss.
