INSTRUCTIONS FOR THEME:
1) Download the Theme
2) Download «Uxstyle Theme Patcher» to apply 3rd party themes [Link] or if you are using Windows 10 Creators Update download UltraUxTheme Patcher from [Link]3) Download AeroGlass [Link] when installing, tick «protect Aero Glass by adjusting access permissions» for
Titlebar on modern apps (works on Windows 10.14393, Anniversary Update only)
4) Copy the theme and the «Windows 10 TP» Folder to «C:\Windows\Resources\Themes»
5) Go to Control Panel’s Personalisation/Setting’s Personalisation and apply any the theme you’ve downloaded.
6) For StartIsBack Visual Style, move the visual style in the pack to «C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\StartIsBack\Styles» (Username = Your username) and then open StartIsBack and apply the taskbar visual style. Guide To Installing Windows 10 Themes
First it is recommended you make a System Restore point before continuing.
SecureUxTheme is a new method for running themes without modifying system files. It also fixes the issue with colors reverting to defaults on some builds.
If you get the bottom task pane after applying the theme, Press Alt+Shift+P to hide it.

I don’t understand how to change the icons and the font and there is a weird white bar showing up at the bottom of my explorer windows. Tbh, these tutorials aren’t all that helpful, I’ve been trying to get this right for like 2 hours now.
The bottom bar is the status bar. There’s different ways to enable/disable it. To change the icons use 7TSP and follow the instructions. Google is your friend.
P.S. Tbh, if you can come up with a better noobie guide feel free.
thanks for the reply and I apologize if I came across negatively, I really do appreciate the work you (and other people) do. It’s just I don’t generally consider myself much of a noob and was expecting to have this set up with a couple of clicks and not to have to actually do research and figure everything out on my own. Here is my first skin for Windows 10. I always wanted a dark/grayish theme with blue details and here it is.

FIRST OF ALL CREATE A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR SYSTEM. USE CUSTOM THEMES AT YOUR OWN RISK.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS — READ CAREFULLY.
Before we begin. Find the version of your windows 10 installation.
Press the WindowsKey+R and type «winver» and click OK-If it says Version 1511 you have to use the «November» theme ONLY REMOVED
-If it says Version 1607 you have to use the «Anniversary» theme ONLY
-If it says Version 1703 you have to use the «Creators Update» theme ONLY
-If it says Version 1709 you have to use the «Falls Creators Update» theme ONLY
-If it says Version 1803 you have to use the «April Update» theme ONLY
-If it says Version 1809 you have to use the «October Update» theme ONLY.
-If it says Version 1909 you have to use the «November Update v1909» theme ONLY.
-If it says Version 2004 you have to use the «May Update v2004» theme ONLY.
or else you will brick your system.
Ok lets start
0) Rename all .ex_ files to .exe so you can execute them. (I had to do that in order to upload them.)
1) First you have to patch uxtheme services to accept custom themes. To do that install «Theme patcher/UltraUXThemePatcher_3.8.1.exe» as administrator.
2) After patching uxtheme, install «OldNewExplorer» using the suggested settings from the image provided.
3) Then place the theme files in «C:\Windows\Resources\Themes», you should have this structure:
— «C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Steamy Blue.theme»
— «C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Steamy Blue\»
— «C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Steamy Blue\shell»
— «C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Steamy Blue\Steamy Blue.msstyles»
4) On the desktop, right mouse click —> Personalize—>Themes—>Theme Settings, and choose «Steamy Blue» under «Installed themes».
5) Install the included transparency tool as described in the «transparency» folder of this package
Enjoy and leave a comment if you like it.
— After running Windows Update, load the standard «Windows» theme before restarting the system to avoid black screen at boot. After the boot, you can chose Steamy Blue or any other theme.
— There are some barely visibile fonts in few programs but it usually depends from the program itself (if it applies visual style colors for some parts, and hardcoded colors for other parts).
