I have a brand new laptop that I got 1 month ago:

Windows 10 Home version 1511 build 10586.318 (64-bit)

2.5GHz Intel Core i7-6500 U Skylake processor

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphic card 2GB DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 520

Intel Gigabit Dual-Band Wireless AC-7265 802.11AC

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller ethernet

When I first got it, my wifi connection was slower than dial-up. At that time, my results from Speedtest.net were:

So, I updated these drivers ( the BIOS was already up-to-date):

Now my Speedtest.net results are:

which is pretty much what I pay for. However, the WHEA-Logger errors still occur at the same rate.

Any ideas as to why I’m getting so many of these errors, and/or what I can do about it, if anything?

Method 1:

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves the issue.

1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del, select Task Manager.

2. From the File menu, select Run new task.

3. Put a check mark next to Create this task with administrative privileges and tap or click OK.

4. Type cmd and hit Enter.

5. Type the following commands in same order in the Command prompt window:

a. Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.

( This command scans and verifies the integrity of all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct versions).

b. Type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth and press Enter.

c. Type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth and press Enter.

d. Type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press Enter.

(These commands fix any files that System File Checker can’t repair and Windows corruption errors).

e. Close the command window.

f. Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the system.

Method 2:

I also suggest you to install the latest Windows updates and check.

Windows Update helps keep your computer up to date with the latest system updates and drivers which can resolve the issue you are facing. You can check Windows Update manually to help ensure you have the latest updates.

1. In search type Windows Updates
2. Click on Windows Updates
3. Click on Check for updates and install the latest windows updates.

Thanks for your reply. I completed the steps in Method 1. Here are the results:

(step 5a) — Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

(steps 5b and 5c) — No component store corruption detected. The operation completed successfully.

(step 5d) — The restore operation completed successfully. The operation completed successfully.

The issue was not resolved, so I restarted the computer. Then I checked Windows Update. It said «Your device is up to date. Available updates will be downloaded and installed automatically.»

I’m still getting the WHEA-Logger entries in the event viewer. I’ve had 25 of them in the last 15 minutes. Do you have any other suggestions?

I suggest you to perform Clean Boot on your system and check if this helps.

Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. Check this issue in clean boot state.

1. Press Windows key + X key. And select Run.
2. Type msconfig in the Run box and hit Enter.
3. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all .
4. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager .
5. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable .
6. Close Task Manager.
7. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK , and then restart the computer.

Whea-Logger код события 17, Windows 10 Pro 1709

У меня ноутбук Asus FX502VM.

И после обновления на 1709 стала вылетать предупреждение whea-logger код события 17. В «просмотре событий» оно выскакивает по 3 раза за минуту. А может кстати и раньше, но в «просмотре событий» последним числом значится 11.11, день в который я обновился. Не знаю, что было до этого. И все бы ничего, если бы 3 дня назад я не получил бы синий экран. Наверно, так бы оно и выскакивало бы много раз, я бы даже не заметил, потому что раньше не пытался разбираться как-то в «администрировании». Я думаю это предупреждение и стало причиной синего экрана.

Когда я отключаю вай фай и подключаюсь к инету через юсб или блютуз соединение, то предупреждение не появляется. Драйвера на wifi адаптер и на сетевую карту обновил, но ничего не помогло.

Подскажите кто знает.

Я уже 3 суток не могу исправить эту ошибку, перелапатил все форумы, но ничего не получается.

Только на англоязычном answers обсуждалась это проблема с позитивным исходом. Но там пишут что надо обновить драйверы, я обновил и ничего не вышло. Или понизить. Вот старые драйвера не знаю откуда взять, но наверно это тоже не поможет.
