Здравствуйте!
Вопрос к умным людям — можно ли заставить работать старенькую карточку Yamaha-724 под Windows-7? Поиск дров в инете и танцы с бубном ничего не дали.
. Привык я к этой карточке, у неё усилитель на борту есть, не музыку слушать, конечно, но всё же очень удобно — к компу сразу колонки, без всякого внешнего усилителя.

Вот что вычитал на одном из забугорных форумов:
b) Install XP, go to system properties and find out the device driver files the YAMAHA uses (and hardware ID), copy all those files from windows \inf \system32 \system32\drivers locations and store them somewhere, then install Vista and install the driver from system properties by selecting the unknown device which matches the hardware ID and select update driver and point it to the files you backed up from XP.

Somehow it*s a bit more quiet than in XP, but working!
(maybe the volume settings scale differs)
Это что, советуют поставить ХР, потом извлечь оттуда драйвер, а потом каким то образом засунуть его в Висту?

Я делал нечто похожее извлекая дрова со старых систем под новые. Inf файлы находятся в каталоге винда\inf
Попробуйте подставить в качестве дров файлы из этого каталога. Могут потребоваться файлы из систем32, постепенно перетаскивая со старой системый в новую можно оживить устройства, для которых утеряны/отсутствуют драйвера.

В темпе нет и не может быть драйверов. Предложенный мной способ специфичен, я прибегал к нему можно сказать от отчаяния, но несколько раз помогало. Если у Вас уже нет винды с нормально установленной ямахой, конечно надо как нибудь иначе. Ищите драйвера в инете. Карточка в свое время была приличной, может быть найдется что-нибудь.

I’ve got problem with 3rd sound card on Win 7. As first step, I tried to install W7 drivers for on-board card (Realtek) and (after installing) system didn’t recognize it (except spdif in/out, but it’s different component on board). Than, I plugged in the Creative’s s.c. and system didn’t recognize that hardware at all. Now, I’m trying to install the drivers for Yamaha Xwave L WHA571 — T2. Win7 didn’t find any drivers on web and I haven’t find them as well.

First you might go to Device Manager, right click your hardware device in the list and select Update Driver Software; then click Search automatically for updated driver software.
Note : Drivers on the Windows Update site are directly provided by hardware manufacturers. Microsoft tests drivers in various environments before they are published; however, we cannot guarantee all drivers will work on all hardware platforms as there are too many different models, although their hardware ID are the same as the standard version. In some cases, due to hardware modifications by different manufacturers, the driver updates may cause some error.
If it does not work on your issue, I’d suggest you installing the Vista driver in Compatibility mode. Remove and rescan that hardware device in Device Manager , right-click on the driver executable/installer file -> Properties and select the Compatibility tab; click the checkbox before Run this program in Compatibility mode for option and select Windows Vista in the list-down box; then try installing the device driver via Run as administrator . In addition, you can use the Windows XP driver for testing.
Meanwhile, please understand that Windows 7 is a new operating system and whole driverstore has been reprogrammed; you might wait or push the device manufacturer to upgrade its driver. Thanks for your time and understanding!

This permission to re-download shall not limit in any manner the disclaimer of warranty set forth in Section 5 below.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY ON SOFTWARE

If, in the written materials or the electronic data accompanying the Software, Yamaha identifies any software and data as THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE, you acknowledge and agree that you must abide by the provisions of any Agreement provided with the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE and that the party providing the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE is responsible for any warranty or liability related to or arising from the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE. Yamaha is not responsible in any way for the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE or your use thereof.
- Yamaha provides no express warranties as to the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE. IN ADDITION, YAMAHA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, as to the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE.
- Yamaha shall not provide you with any service or maintenance as to the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE.

U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS NOTICE:
The Software is a «commercial item,» as that term is defined at 48 C.F.R. 2.101 (Oct 1995), consisting of «commercial computer software» and «commercial computer software documentation,» as such terms are used in 48 C.F.R. 12.212 (Sept 1995). GENERAL
This Agreement shall be interpreted according to and governed by Japanese law without reference to principles of conflict of laws. Any dispute or procedure shall be heard before the Tokyo District Court in Japan. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any portion of this Agreement to be unenforceable, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.
COMPLETE AGREEMENT
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to use of the SOFTWARE and any accompanying written materials and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings or agreements, written or oral, regarding the subject matter of this Agreement. No amendment or revision of this Agreement will be binding unless in writing and signed by a fully authorized representative of Yamaha.
